PHOTOGRAPHy BY Tamer Rajai hage
I grew up primarily in Washington, D.C., and Arlington, Virginia and have previously lived in Manama, Bahrain, and Dublin, Ireland. My passion for photography began when I purchased a camera to take pictures of a pair of Michael Jordan sneakers I purchased when I was 13. Since then, photography has become a means to capture memories and images from the world around me that I never want to forget. I’ve grown to admire the night sky and am especially drawn to taking images of the Milky Way and the moon. I also have experience in urban photography, wildlife, and people. Throughout the past ten years, my photographs have hung on the walls of cafes and supermarkets in D.C. and Virginia Beach. I’ve also been hired as an events photographer for conferences and concerts in the U.S. and abroad. All of my photographs are available for sale for print and free to all who wish to download. Enjoy the world through my eyes.

Night sky COLLECTION
My favorite fact about the night sky is that the light from stars, planets, and galaxies we see can be billions of years old. Therefore, when photographing the stars, I feel like I’m staring into the past. I like to wonder what life on Earth must have been like a billion years ago, long before humans. I wonder what Earth will look like a billion years from now. I ask myself, “Will we still be here?” The statistical anomaly that is life amazes me every. Single. Day.

Wildlife Collection
My interest in Wildlife photography began on a trip to Kenya, where I was hired to take pictures at a USAID conference. I’m particularly intrigued by how animal’s such as giraffes and zebras, evolved to display such breath-taking fur patterns

URBAN EXPLORATION COLLECTION
Photos are metaphors, making the abstract concrete and mystifying the mundane. Be clear, be confident, and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself.
